Clay earned his law degree at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle. He has been licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington for over 30 years. Clay’s legal career includes 12 years as a criminal prosecutor, conducting over 100 jury trials. He litigated paternity and child support cases as a state’s attorney for 18 years. For most of his career, Clay has argued cases in court on an almost daily basis. He has appeared in over 1,000 family law cases, asking the court to set appropriate child support, modify child support, enforce child support orders, and establish paternity.
